Fr. Tommy and I arrived from Hillsboro at 10:10 and immediately vested for Eucharist. As we were preparing, the soft hymns were accompanied by beautiful voices, a flute and the piano.
We were pleased to have three teenagers in attendance and they brought forth the gifts. St. Paul’s is a special place in our state and the congregation is reaching out into the community.
A potluck was held after the service, and as I pulled the car onto I-25 I could not help but say a prayer of thanks. The thanks is in part for the faith that I witnessed this weekend, the beauty of our faith tradition and the work of the Christians in our midst. One person at a time, one day at a time, and we will show the world our faith.
Jesus speaks of the Good News in our Gospel today. The Kingdom of God has come near - in T or C, at St. Paul’s!
